The Night Court is truly a place of magic, where light and dark can mix, and beauty and horror are often paired together. Velaris is a beloved home and offers breathtaking beauty beyond Feyre’s wildest dreams.
So, in honor of the magic and beauty of the Night Court, we’ve rounded up our top five rings that we could see Feyre flashing. But before we begin, let’s go over just what and where the Night Court is!
WHAT IS THE NIGHT COURT?
All is not what it seems in the Night Court, a sprawling territory of mountains, darkness, and stars in Sarah J. Maas’ remarkable A Court of Thorns and Roses series. Ruled by its High Lord, Rhysand, and Feyre as High Lady, the Night Court is one of the seven Courts of Prythian and one of the three Solar Courts alongside the Dawn and Day Courts.
To the rest of Prythian, the Night Court is a place of terror and darkness, and its ruler Rhysand, a ruthless and cruel monster. In reality, however, the Night Court is a place that can be both good and evil and filled with great beauty, power, and complexity.
There are two cities within the Night Court: Hewn City and Velaris. Hewn City, otherwise known as the Court of Nightmares, lives up to outsider expectations. It is carved from the stone of the mountain that houses Under the Mountain and features hideous and beautiful intricate artwork carved into every surface available. The fae of The Court of Nightmares are known for their brutality and ultimately rule themselves despite being ruled by a Steward of Rhysand.
Velaris, the Court of Dreams, is the opposite of the Court of NIghtmares and is the jewel of the Night Court. It is a city of light and music, full of art, culture, and luxury. The people of Velaris are known for their love of life, freedom, and creativity. The city is protected by powerful magic and hidden from the mortal world. It is in Velaris, that Rhysand and Feyre rule and live along with The Inner Circle.
