Meet Ruth: our muse, friend, bookstagramer and beautiful soul @ForestCabinReads
Tell me a bit about yourself and your account (where are you from, how long have you been an influencer, what got you into reading, etc).
Hi, I'm Ruth! I am from Puerto Rico, born and raised, but I live in Houston Texas.
I have been an Influencer since 2018, but an Official Boosktagramer since November of 2022. Other than Books I'm also an Artist, Photographer, and Video Editor.
Growing up I’ve always loved fantasy, romance, and gothic themes. Such as LOTR, The Never Ending Story, Beauty and The Beast, ect. But once I discovered my never ending love for books that opened up a world of more adventures to live! Sword fights, Magical worlds, Enchanted Forests / creatures and more!
Book Genres I adore are : fantasy, mystery, paranormal, romance and thrillers. Tropes I like : Enemies to Lovers, Soulmates, Friends to Lovers, Fake dating, Found Family, Grumpy and Sunshine.
How would you describe your personal style, and what elements do you enjoy incorporating into your looks?
I would describe my style as “Whimsigoth” with also having elements of “fairycore”, “knightcore” and “cottagecore".

A combination of whimsical and gothic, whimsigoth style, coined by Evan Collins, is built on the moodiness of gothic style—dark colors, rich textures, and plenty of drama—but incorporates hefty doses of airier fabrics, greenery, and celestial embellishments for a light counterbalance.

Lots of dark colors, greens, blues, purples, browns, celestial and earthy tones!!
I wear soft pastels sometimes too!!
Long skirts, Flower textures, Lace, Dresses, combat boots, with nature elements, Feminine, and Gothic elements! Love Unique jewelry that looks like elves and fairies made in the woods and also Celestial Angelic themes!!

What initially attracted you to Olivia Ewing Jewelry?
What initially drew me to her shop was how unique and whimsical her craft is! I simply adore how every piece she makes looks like it was forgerd right out of a magical forest from a fantasy book! And that's exactly the type of jewelry I love!! You can really see the love she puts in her work!! As someone who owns one of her rings, I can definitely say it's by far my favorite ring that I currently own other than my wedding ring!!! Perfectly whimsical!!
