SPOILERS FOR ACOTAR BELOW!

Filled with intrigue, romance, suspense, and occasionally a good dose of humor, A Court of Thorns and Roses is worth the read. And if like us, you've already read it, you may find yourself lusting after not just the swoon-worthy characters (hello, Rhysand!) but the jewelry engagement rings as well. Below, we break down the two main rings Feyre sports through books and offer some ACOTAR-inspired engagement rings that are sure to get your heart pounding.

WHAT IS ACOTAR?

ACOTAR aka A Court of Thorns and Roses is the best-selling adult fantasy series by Sarah J Maas. In the first book of the same name, Fayre Archeron finds herself face-to-face with danger thanks to being pulled into the faerie lands of Prythian after she unknowingly kills a faerie.

And that's just the first book.

The mythology and lore of the faeries of the seven courts of Pyrthian: The Dawn Court, The Night Court, The Day Court, and Spring, Summer, Winter, and Autumn Courts, are fleshed out over the ongoing series as new enemies grow in power, unlikely allies appear to help Feyre along the way.

WHAT DOES FEYRE'S RING LOOK LIKE IN A COURT OF THORNS AND ROSES?

While initially Feyre can't help but develop feelings for her captor Tamlin, it is Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court, that she falls in love with.

As such, Feyre was given two different rings, though only one has made it to the end of the last novel...

FEYRE'S ENGAGEMENT RING

Feyre's first love, Tamlin, proposes to Feyre in a field of wildflowers. The engagement ring is later described by Feyre as she attempts to ride a horse to ride to the village to help the people post Amarantha (much to Tamlin's discontent).

" I lunged for the bridle. "I don't need an escort." My grip tightened on the leather as I tugged the horse to a stop, and the golden ring on my finger -along with the square-cut emerald glittering atop it- flashed in the sun."

As Tamlin is the High Lord of the Spring Court, a square-cut emerald is a perfect choice to complement the verdant, flowering, grounds of Springtime. And while, Feyre's engagement ring doesn't make it to the end of the series, she essentially melts it off in a cocoon of ice, wind, fire, and darkness in an attempt to escape from Tamlin's controlling behavior, we can't help but marvel at the book's description of the ring's beauty.

RHYSAND'S MOTHER'S RING

The second ring of note in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series is Rhysand's mother's ring. Described as, "A ring of twisted strands of gold and silver, flecked with pearl, and set with a stone of deepest solid blue. Sapphire -but different.", Rhysand was gifted the ring by his mother while receiving his training at an Illyrian camp to be reminded that he always had her support.

When he was older, his mother requested the ring back to give to the Weaver to hold in her cottage, until Rhysand's future match could prove themselves by retrieving it.

Later on, Rhysand sends Feyra on a mission to find and return the ring, thus proving to him that she is his fated mate. Eventually, after Rhysand and Feyre are officially mated in a A Court of Mist and Fury, he offers it to her, but she only begins to wear it after the war is over in A Court of Wings and Ruin.
